Dell e Canonical si alleano per un ambizioso progetto, un progetto che si spara esportino nel breve periodo anche in altri paesi.
Dell venderà notebook con Ubuntu preinstallato in India nei propri 850 negozi fisici indiani.
I primo modelli ad esser commercializzati con Ubuntu saranno i nuovi Inspiron 14R e Inspiron 15R e saranno venduti a partire dal 21 Giugno.
In ogni store sarà inoltre presente il logo di Ubuntu assieme a personale qualificato che spiegerà ai consumatori i vantaggi dello scegliere Ubuntu.

Sameer Garde, President, Dell India said: “With Ubuntu, these machines offer our customers a compelling mobile or in-home computing proposition, with the benefit of Dell quality and security. I am confident that they will prove attractive to both home and business users.”
L'alleanza fra Canonical e Dell dunque continua e questa iniziativa va a rafforzare la precedente alleanza per il Project Sputnik.
